epd landscape (environment, planning and design) is a landscape architecture consultancy. epd offers services in landscape design, management, landscape assessments and contract tendering/ administration. With epd’s parent company, Glendale Countryside Ltd, epd is able to provide clients with inspirational, flexible and sustainable solutions ranging from initial designs to project implementation and maintenance.

A Multidisciplinary & Landscape-Led Approach
epd’s core expertise encompasses three integrated disciplines: landscape architecture, landscape planning & assessment and urban design.
- Landscape Architecture: epd strives to achieve meaningful designs which are true to both the aspirations of the client and the landscape, whether it is for the largest of commercial and public projects or the small private garden space.
By embracing the environmental landscape design principles, epd strives to integrate seamlessly with nature. epd helps clients to create projects that contribute to a wider network of habitat creation with a focus on providing desirable spaces in which we can live, work and play. - Landscape Planning & Assessment: epd is aware of the challenges a project can face to comply with national and local planning regulations. epd’s extensive technical knowledge and experience can help assess the impacts of a development on landscape and visual receptors and mitigate to reduce the significance of effects, helping to create beneficial outcomes for all. epd also helps with the initial site planning, appraisals or design to produce planning drawings ready to submit as part of a planning application.
epd also has experiences in writing management plans including Habitat Management Monitoring Plans (HMMP’s) in the Natural England template, Landscape Ecological Management Plans (LEMP’s) and standard Landscape Management and Maintenance plans (LMMP’s) which form part of the planning submission or form part of the planning conditions. - Urban Design: epd applies modern design approaches to urban design, crafting sustainable solutions that enrich local townscape character and respond to natural environments. epd’s capabilities span spatial, regional, and mixed-use masterplanning alongside targeted urban regeneration initiatives that balance economic, social, and ecological needs. epd utilises public realm strategies that deliver cohesive, resilient, and high-quality spaces for surrounding communities to tailor bespoke results for every project.

Connecting People, Nature, and Development
Sustainability is embedded in every phase of epd‘s work. The consultancy treats landscapes as living systems capable of addressing modern challenges – such as habitat loss and climate change – whilst offering high-quality environments for communities. As part of Glendale Countryside Ltd, epd combines design excellence with real-world constructability, maintenance insight, and long-term stewardship.
