The landscape design adheres to the following design principles:
1. The courtyard landscape should integrate with the architectural form and provide a transition from the existing buildings to the new buildings;
2. The landscape must demonstrate a harmony between project and the urban landscape;
3. The landscape must encourage the integration of people with the natural environment.
This project’s landscape balances the international style with strong traditional culture and interactive ecology style and on the principles of Feng Shui. “The water of yours, as borrowed from the Blue River, this bit of mountain from the distant peaks” (Du Fu’s poetry)
Oil filed Cultural Elements are incorporated throughout the project including silhouette statues of pumps that are prominent on the horizon at sunset, and a larger than life recreation of a victory march after an oil strike.
