EDAW singled proposal singled out for Wilmington Air Park

Cincinnati Enquirer reports

“Some 430 new jobs would be created in Wilmington through a $5.7 million investment by Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services Inc., a new venture of ABX Air’s parent Air Transport Services Group Inc.

On Tuesday, a task force pursuing redevelopment of the Wilmington Air Park recognized three responses by 19 firms to its request last year for development ideas. Those ideas ranged from a regional passenger airport to an alternative-energy manufacturing center.

The task force singled out:

A proposal by San Francisco-based EDAW/ AECOM in cooperation with Economic Research Associates, CB Richard Ellis, McGill Smith Punshon and MSI Planning.

Paul Moyer, vice president and principal for EDAW Inc., noted that the process of redevelopment must unfold over time.

“Wilmington must look at all alternatives, and make no short-term decisions that may limit long-term options regarding this very important asset,” he said.”
