April is World Landscape Architecture Month, celebrated by various institutions and organisations (started by ASLA) around the world to promote the profession of landscape architecture. ASLA has invited landscape architects to celebrate this year by answering the questions What is landscape architecture? What does landscape architecture mean to you? on social media with the hashtag #WLAM2022
WLA encourage all landscape architects to participate in World Landscape Architecture Month however, we challenge you to go beyond the finished project photographed image. Landscape architecture is about art, sketching, diagrams, studying, research, masterplans, frameworks, construction, materiality, plants, water, soil, ecology, testing, people, etc. It is time to show that landscape architecture has many elements beyond the beautiful finished project image.
WLA also asks all landscape architects to advocate, communicate, educate, and celebrate landscape architecture in your communities, towns, cities, and across the world. Find out more about how you can do this by reading How to advocate for landscape architecture.
We look forward to celebrating WLAM2022, and feel free to tag WLA on Instagram (worldlandscapearch) or other social platforms Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter
