Brentwood Park could get major facelift

Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports

The Brentwood Park Initiative may soon finalize plans for an ambitious overhaul — more than $6 million worth — of the town’s park.

A master plan has been presented to the group by J.T. Sauer & Associates, a landscape architect and engineering firm in McKees Rocks.

Initiative members met Tuesday for a walk through the park to visualize some of those proposals, which include replacing the basketball and tennis courts with two youth baseball fields, extending the track around the football field, relocating the basketball courts closer to the high school, adding a deck hockey rink, expanding the pool to include spray features, new turf and building a grandstand for the football stadium.
