ALUM consists of rolled-edge dining and lounge tables, lounge chairs, and dining chairs that bring together coveted good looks and no-fail function in a totally irresistible way. Built-in handles on the café chair (available with or without armrests) make stacking and storing possible and the lounge chair has just the right amount of lean. ALUM tables may look edgy, but they are never sharp thanks to their rolled edge. Café tables are the perfect height for dining and the lounge table can multitask as a footrest.
The vision behind ALUM was to create each piece from a single sheet of aluminum that is laser cut and then formed into shape. The result is a super-slim profile and captivatingly clean lines, all wrapped up in an indestructible material that won’t rust.
“We developed the ALUM series to satisfy two equally important design intentions,” says ALUM designer Frank Crawford. “First, we wanted to produce durable, attractive, and comfortable seating. The fact that we’re able to minimize material waste while simplifying fabrication makes it a collection we can all be very proud of.”
