Registrations open for Harbour Park Design Competition

Harbour Park Design Competition

The New South Wales Government (Australia) has launched a design competition for Harbour Park, a 1.85 hectare public space on Sydney’s foreshore. The competition invitation is open to teams from around Australia and beyond to prepare a design that responds to our vision for the park.

Harbour Park Design Competition is an exciting and rare opportunity to design a public space that sits on Sydney’s famous harbour edge and will be part of a foreshore that includes icons such as Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. The park is across the Cutaway from the PWP designed Barangaroo Reserve.

The competition jury comprises leading figures from the Australian and international design community. They are looking for design ideas that embrace Barangaroo’s commitment to design excellence, world-class public spaces and sustainability.

The competition entrants are required to be led by a registered Australian business (with no less than ten years since registration), and the team is required to include a registered Landscape Architect.

Registrations have opened with Expressions of Interest opening on January 17 and 16 February 2023.
