Noah Orman awarded the UTS 2025 Arcadia Indigenous Landscape Scholarship

Arcadia is delighted to announce that Noah Orman, has been awarded the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) 2025 Arcadia Indigenous Landscape Scholarship.

Noah is a proud Birri and Guugu Yimithirr man from North Queensland. He has lived on the lands of the Garigal people in Sydney’s Northern Beaches since 2021 and is entering his second year of studying for a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at UTS.

“Arcadia’s scholarship program is proud to celebrate its eighth year, and we are excited to announce Noah as this year’s recipient. His commitment to sustainability and community impact stood out, along with his vision of creating spaces that respect the past, serve the present, and leave a lasting legacy for future generations. Noah’s dedication to integrating First Nations perspectives, knowledge and wisdom into projects makes him an invaluable addition to both Arcadia and the future of landscape architecture,” said Alex Longley, Founding Principal of Arcadia.

The opportunity to work as a student Landscape Technician and Indigenous Design Liaison in Arcadia’s Sydney studio will support Noah as he undertakes his studies, guided by his Indigenous heritage and commitment to environmental stewardship

“Working with Arcadia will enable me to contribute to the design of healthy and resilient landscapes that respect cultural and ecological values,” says Noah Orman.

Since establishing the first Indigenous Scholarship for Landscape Architecture at UNSW in 2017, Arcadia has been committed to increasing Indigenous representation in the built environment. Scholarships are now available at six universities nationally.
