MKSK Announces New Leadership Team in Washington DC Office

MKSK is pleased to announce that Principals Tim Bragan and Joe Chambers are the new leaders of our DC studio. Tim and Joe have worked together for over a decade, designing and managing various projects in the DC region and beyond. Also new to the leadership team are Senior Associate Xibei Song and Associate Gaelle Gourmelon, who bring an expanded mix of project expertise and leadership skills.

Tim Bragan, a native of the DC area, leverages his background in architecture with a focus on commercial mixed-use developments, public institutions, urban design, placemaking, and green infrastructure projects. Sustainability Thought Leader Joe Chambers spearheads MKSK LAB for Climate & Biodiversity Resilience, our initiative to create dynamic urban landscapes and greater environmental resilience.

Xibei Song has successfully managed numerous high-profile projects including the District Wharf Fish Market and Southwest Neighborhood Library & Park. She brings a unique international perspective to her work. Gaelle Gourmelon combines a background in biology and public health with landscape architecture to design landscapes that are active, social, and environmentally sustainable.

“We’re so thrilled about the future of our Washington DC studio,” noted Eric Lucas, MKSK’s CEO. “Tim, Joe, Xibei, and Gaelle will continue to deliver outstanding results for our clients and will elevate MKSK’s profile in the region.”

Jonathan Fitch has relocated to Philadelphia to be closer to family but will continue to contribute his expertise to the team as an Advisory Principal.

We look forward to sharing the creative energy and approach that our new leadership team personifies. Here’s to continuing the practice of innovation, thought leadership, and excellence at MKSK DC!
