At LDA Design, we make great places and shape the world around us for the better. We are a 100% employee-owned business with a strong culture – a place where you can learn and grow and feel proud of what is achieved. Whether a project is a new park, solar farm or settlement or the regeneration of tired estates or streets, we focus on the needs of the people affected and on creating a balance with nature.
Our origins lie in landscape architecture and this strengthens all we offer. Projects include the final landscape masterplan for Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and its post-Games legacy, which includes cultural powerhouse Stratford Waterfront. Other award winners include Union Terrace Gardens in Aberdeen, road to civic space – Strand Aldwych and Battersea Power Station. We are creating a new landscape in Colne Valley for HS2 and are at the forefront of the UK’s renewable energy strategy.
LDA Design’s London studio is looking for a talented landscape architect with around two to five years’ experience to work on landscape design, public realm and masterplanning projects.
We are particularly interested in hearing from people with strong design skills, energy and enthusiasm for their work. Like all opportunities with LDA, what matters most to us is the way you think. So, although we are looking for some experience, the number of years you have worked is less important to us than your skills and outlook.
If you have strong design skills and are keen to work with a talented, friendly and highly collaborative team, then do get in touch.
We are looking for:
- Strong conceptual landscape and public realm design skills
- Excellent verbal and visual communication skills
- Technical experience in detailed design packages through to delivery of projects on site (for senior role)
- Experience of working with clients and multidisciplinary teams (for senior role)
- Good experience with all RIBA stages, project running, team leading, and consultant liaison (for senior role)
- Proficiency in the Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, Rhino and ideally Revit.
- Chartered status with the Landscape Institute or equivalent professional body is also desirable (for senior role).
Please email your CV and a covering letter explaining why you want to join LDA Design to recruitment@lda-design.co.uk. Please also send a list and overview of recent projects (5MB max) and a signed copy of our Candidate Privacy notice. Closing date is Friday 1st August 2025.
We are open to considering flexible working and are especially keen to receive applications from under-represented groups.
It would also help us if you could complete this short Equality and Diversity survey (confidential). Thank you.
LDA Design is an equal opportunities employer.
