Instinct Fabrication(IF) is a creative design studio was established in San Francisco in 2014. With offices in Beijing and Shenzhen, IF currently focuses its practice mostly in China Mainland. Our design consultation service includes landscape architectural design/planning, environmental strategy and urban design. We have a variety of project experiences in the United States and China, ranging from large-scale parks, urban district renewal, and streetscape design to smaller scale mix-use properties, campus, residential gardens, etc.
Our unique team structure ensures that every single project is delivered to a continuously high standard and with consistent responsibilities of our key partners, who have diverse backgrounds from the United States, Australia, United Kingdom and China.
Instinct Fabrication believes the design process is a hybrid of subjective (What you want) and objective (what exists out there). There’s certain nature or logic within every project/design experiment for designers to explore, while enthusiastic craftmanship and a sense of design will be added for a comprehensive design solution/intervention. We’re particularly interested in delivering nature experience and involving human interaction in our projects to see how landscape design could impact people’s behavior and psychologies.
