This project uses ideas of sustainable design and development from other sectors such as commercial and public space projects and applies them to the equine facility. Horse Farm of the Future, imagines a facility that is much more ecologically effective and more self sufficient through energy production, use of local materials and habitat creation.
Water capture and reuse is a central element and aids in reducing the drawdown on site aquifers. All of these sustainable elements are implemented while maintaining an efficient and safe environment for horses and humans.
