Hongshan Culture Park | Green Centerpiece in Shenzhen

Hongshan Culture Park is located in one of Shenzhen’s most densely populated urban cores: the Hongshan area, a residential and transit hub near Shenzhen North Station. Bordered by the Art Museum & Library, a metro station, and retail complexes and massive residentials, the 4.7-acre site was transformed from a logistics block into a public park. This transformation followed three years of deliberation among the government, developers, and residents, responding to community demand to preserve green space amid the “concrete jungle.” The park is now highly accessible and capable, successfully circulating over 50,000 people per day while integrating aesthetics, amenities, and sustainability into this much-needed civic common.
