Cracknell appointed to design Le Plaza Del Mar in Cyprus

Merging the Mediterranean Sea with the exterior of Limassol Del Mar has been crucial to achieving an iconic beach resort style designed by Cracknell who have been assigned to design the landscape concept around the luxury Limassol Del Mar development in Cyprus. In particular, Cracknell have designed Le Plaza Del Mar, home to a number of high-end boutiques, international brands and five-star leisure facilities.

The partnership will ensure residents can enjoy outside space synonymous with that of a five-star hotel. The vision for Limassol Del Mar reflects the essence of the Mediterranean Sea in every detail from planting and paving to outdoor furniture layout, using curvilinear lines, reminiscent of water lapping at the development’s edge.

The landscape also includes curved walkways on the external footpath inviting people to visit the luxury retail outlets on offer on the ground floor, with elevated pocket gardens surrounded by water, forming intimate private spaces for residents and guests to relax in while sampling culinary delights and cocktails at restaurants and bars, as they enjoy uninterrupted views of the sea.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of such a landmark project. We have taken a contemporary approach to maximise the incredible waterfront setting of Limassol with an innovative design that would enhance the experience of the end-user. Limassol Del Mar will surely become an iconic destination for people to enjoy for years to come, and invite recognition of the beauty, vibrant culture, and modernity that Limassol deserves.”
