Arcadia Landscape Architecture has recently announced the promotion of eight people across their practice, including Jason Kocmar to Principal in Canberra, Jack Stevenson to Principal in Newcastle and Daniel Spicer to Senior Associate in Sydney.
“At Arcadia we know that our people are motivated by the opportunity to make a difference through their work as well as the prospects we offer for career advancement. We are delighted to recognise outstanding performance and leadership of these individuals, who have demonstrated dedication to Arcadia’s vision through driving success, embodying our cultural values, and consistently enabling their teams to deliver outstanding designs,” says Alex Longley, Founding Director, Arcadia.
Arcadia’s studios in Newcastle and Canberra are seeing rising demand for modern landscape architecture and urban design, driven by more families leaving state capitals and a growing expectation for healthy, accessible outdoor community spaces.
In the Sydney studio, Daniel Spicer is now a Senior Associate, Han Chen is moving to Associate, Rafi Grant is a Senior Landscape Architect and Elaine Wang is a Senior Urban Designer.
“In our Sydney studio, we are delighted to acknowledge one of our long-term team members, Daniel Spicer. His contribution to Arcadia is evident through the design excellence of his award-winning work, including Wadanggari Park and Friedlander Place, but also the impact he makes on our culture. Having first joined Arcadia in 2016 as a Graduate Landscape Architect, Daniel took time working away from Arcadia but returned in 2023 after recognising the values we share and the opportunity to advance his career,” says Longley.
