TCLF announces the Inaugural Jury of the Cornelia Hahn Oberlander International Landscape Architecture Prize

The Cultural Landscape Foundation (TCLF) recently announced the members of the inaugural jury of the Cornelia Hahn Oberlander International Landscape Prize. The seven-member jury includes leading landscape architects, urban planners, architects, academics, and other experts from around the world. The Cornelia Hahn Oberlander International Landscape Prize was established in 2019 by TCLF and is the only prize of its kind that includes a U.S.$100,000 award and two years of public engagement activities. The principal goal of the Prize is to elevate the art and profession of landscape architecture. The New York Times calls Cornelia Hahn Oberlander, the Prize’s namesake, the “grande dame” of landscape architecture. The inaugural Oberlander Prize laureate will be announced in Fall 2021.

The members of the inaugural Oberlander Prize jury:

  • Dorothée Imbert (jury chair), the Hubert C. Schmidt ’38 Chair in landscape architecture and the Director of the Knowlton School at The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio;
  • Tatiana Bilbao, architect, founder and principal of Tatiana Bilbao ESTUDIO, Mexico City, Mexico;
  • Michel Desvigne, landscape architect, founder and principal of MDP Michel Desvigne Paysagiste, Paris, France;
  • Gina Ford, landscape architect, co-founder and principal of Agency Landscape + Planning, Cambridge, Massachusetts;
  • Teresa Gali-Izard, landscape architect, a principal of ARQUITECTURA AGRONOMIA, Barcelona, Spain;
  • Walter Hood, landscape architect, the Creative Director and Founder of Hood Design Studio, Oakland, California;
  • Aki Omi, landscape architect, founder + creative director @ office ma, San Francisco, California, and Tokyo, Japan.
