SLA appoints 17 new partners and associates: “We want to be independent and uncompromising.“

Danish landscape architects and nature design studio SLA appoints 17 new partners and associates to join the firm’s three senior partners, Stig L. Andersson, Mette Skjold, and Rasmus Astrup.

SLA’s partner and associate group now encompasses 20 persons (ten women and ten men) to help lead Scandinavia’s biggest landscape architect to continued international growth and expansion of its interdisciplinary, nature-based approach.

“For the last five years, we have experienced a growing international demand for our work – from big, landscape-led masterplans in London and Toronto and public space designs and city nature parks in Abu Dhabi and Paris to strategies and biodiversity plans for entire nations. With our new strategy, we invest in further developing our interdisciplinary services, including city nature, climate adaptation, Life Cycle Assessments, biodiversity, and nature-based master planning,” says SLA Design Principal and Senior Partner Rasmus Astrup.

A value-based approach
The expanded partner group is part of SLA’s strategic focus on increased professional and commercial growth. The strategy’s goal is to cement and expand SLA’s role as a preferred collaborator for ambitious cities and developers across the globe, says Rasmus Astrup.

SLA is Scandinavia’s biggest nature design and landscape architecture studio with 130+ employees. The interdisciplinary design studio comprises landscape architects, biologists, anthropologists, architects, lighting designers, planners, planting specialists, philosophers, geographers, and ecologists.

SLA has ongoing projects in Scandinavia, Europe, the UK, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Canada, China, and the US.
