Shutougang Village

The Shutougang Village rural revitalization plan has mapped out a mode for sustainable, diverse landscape participation. It starts with nature education, children-friendly, and ecological sustainability. It is dominated by the designer, with the participation of the government, nature educators, artists, farmers and families in a close-to-nature approach for joint research and design in the village. The project uses natural materials, and ecological design, to build a vibrant nature education base for the countryside.

By working with the nature education institution, it trains local farmers into nature educators. It is expected that in the years to come, the village will receive 20,000 tourists and hold 100 nature education activities annually. Building the Shutougang brand and working with professional media organizations, it will forge Shutougang into the first friendly nature education eco-village in Jiangsu Province. The plan takes landscape as the medium, cooperates with social groups, and uses rich local ecological resources to achieve rural revitalization.
