In Fall of 2019, PORT was selected by the City of Bentonville and the Walton Family Foundation Northwest Arkansas Design Excellence Program to lead the master planning effort for the city’s new 110-acre 8th Street Gateway Park. Envisioned as the centerpiece of the Bentonville Parks System, this new public amenity will serve as the western anchor of a nearly completed 25-mile multi-use trail system that rings the city, as well as provide generous public recreation facilities for the city and region’s rapidly growing populations.
