World Design Summit issues MONTREAL DESIGN DECLARATION

At the World Design Summit in Montreal, the organisers issued a  joint declaration that will be put forth after the World Design Summit Meeting, to be held from October 23 to 25. This declaration and its 10-year action plan aim to define the role and value of all 6 design discipline while fostering global collaboration towards a shared objective: designing a better world for all.

The Montreal Design Declaration outlines eight points of Value of Design, nine Calls to Action, and eight Expressions of Intent. These points seek to Develop Policy, Metrics and Standards; Advocate Design,  Enhance Education, push for Recognition of design and seek to create Responsive and Responsible design.

Montreal Design Declaration states that “ALL PEOPLE DESERVE TO LIVE IN A WELL-DESIGNED WORLD.”
