Uncommon Land is an internationally focused landscape architecture and urban design practice with studios in London and Singapore.
We are a collective of landscape architects, architects and urban designers who put people at the heart of our work. We are a diverse and collaborative group that draws from a varied background of skills and places of work. We apply global experiences and expertise at a local level, tailoring designs to specific and contextual conditions and cultural requirements.
We have the inhouse specialisation in a variety of project types including parks, plazas, streetscapes, town centres, mixed use, retail, sports and recreation facilities, hospitality, residential, playspaces, waterfronts and ecological sites.
Our work is people-centric, functional, contextual, connected and achieves key sustainable principles in its resolution. We lead and/or collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to shape the overall form of our projects. Our design approach is customised for each project. We define and organise systems within a project site and synthesize them together to implement a wholistic spatial arrangement. Throughout this process, we pay close attention to the ways in which open spaces, networks, and natural systems can shape urban form and the human experience.
Our work to date has spread across three continents. The scale of work we do also varies; from masterplanning and city making, to significant public realm spaces, down to pocket parks and roof gardens. Our team of landscape architects and designers are creative thinkers, and experienced in delivering projects throughout its stages; right from project initialisation, through to concept design and on to construction documentation.
We are bold but considered in our work, investing time and resources to find the right design solution to solve our clients’ challenges.
