In 2015, CityLink are undertaking a project to transform an unused site, known as the Power Street Loop. Since the Loop’s creation in 2000, there has been significant residential and commercial development in the area and it has emerged as the city’s arts and cultural heart.
Through its thoughtful transformation, the site will positively contribute to the surrounding cultural landscape of the area.
As part of the project we launched a competition that asked the community for great design ideas that could be incorporated into the project. We received more than 50 ideas for how we could use the site and awarded four prizes:
- First prize awarded to Habitat Filters by Drysdale Myers and Dow
- Best Sustainable Idea awarded to Territory by Terra Verde
- Most Innovative Response to Site awarded to Driving Neutral by PWR Ranges
- Most Artistic Idea awarded to The Beans by ARC-Up
