Wellington City Council doesn’t like its five-year old upgrade to the pedestrian Mall. The City has decided to reinstate the two-lane road with two-way traffic. The City’s reasoning is to reinstate the precinct known as the Golden Mile in Wellington, it would also allow bus routes to pass through the mall at a 30km/h(18mph) speed limit.
