“A master plan is being drawn up for Fort St Elmo, which will probably see Evans Building turned into a hotel and a fair-weather cruise quay created on the Marsamxett side. The €100 million project will probably go out to tender next year, once the planning process has been completed – and by when the economic climate has hopefully improved.”
