The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has reported that in Master Plan of Delhi-2021 (MPD 2021), it has been estimated to accommodate 23,000,000(230 lakhs) of projected population by 2021 for which the additional requirement of urban extension would be 20,000 to 22,000 ha. of urbanisable land within development time-frame of 15-16 years.
