A creative studio made up of a dedicated group of designers with diverse experience, our design approach is meticulous and collaborative. The smaller studio environment allows for direct dialogue and mentorship with MFLA partners and a culture of a good work-life balance, which fuels the dynamic portfolio of the studio.

In addition to current projects on the boards, a focus for the roles will be servicing our expanding private residential and hospitality client base, experience in these sectors is a plus. Individuals must have strong communication, design, and technical skills, and be equally familiar with contributing in project meetings with key partners that include; clients, architects, developers, municipalities, and consultants. Clear communication skills with our internal team when responding to directions around graphic representations, design detailing, and construction documentation is key. Our commissions comprise of master planning, urban infill and re-development, mixed-use residential and commercial, parks, waterfront re-development, campuses, streetscapes, estates, wineries, agricultural properties, and hospitality projects. We are a small, passionate team that relies on a creative and collective work environment to implement high quality designs for our clients. The Northern California Healdsburg Studio is an airy, open plan environment in downtown Healdsburg, close to the “Square’s” coffee shops, cafes, and independent retailers, and near bike and bus routes. Our San Francisco studio, on the edge of the Mission District and Potrero Hill, is convenient for San Francisco and Bay Area based employees.

MFLA has a hybrid work schedule currently in place at both the Northern California studio in Healdsburg, CA and our San Francisco, CA studio. Depending on an applicant’s place of residence, we would discuss the best studio location fit and the breakdown of days working in the studio environment and remotely.
