New downtown park to be oasis in the sky – San Francisco Examiner

“City Park is planned as a rooftop highlight of the rebuilt Transbay Transit Center at First and Mission streets, scheduled to open in 2014.

The 5.4-acre park’s whimsical design has been a hit in recent weeks after being shown off at public meetings and forums.

“If you look at the Transbay Neighborhood that’s in redevelopment,
there aren’t any other natural spaces or public parks of significant
size around there,” landscape architect Adam Greenspan said.”
