“The Maidstone High Street open design competition, organised by RIBA, invited teams to submit initial ideas for the £4 million project.
Its first stage attracted 76 submissions for firms in the UK, Bulgaria, Ireland, France, Germany, Holland and the USA.
The shortlist comprises Conran and Partner, Douglas and King Architects, Letts Wheeler Architects, Terence O’Rourke and Townshend Landscape Architects.”
