The rise of London to become perhaps the world’s finance capital was accompanied by a realisation that a denser city of mixed use is environmentally more responsible than spreading out into green-belt areas and beyond. All these pressures make our urban environment more vibrant.

The Landscape Institute today welcomed a collaborative letter signed by the leaders of the built environment professions including LI President Nigel Thorne, sent to the Prime Minister, urging a “detailed, equitable and binding agreement” to avert the worse consequences of climate change.

UAE Finalising railway plan – UAEinteract.com
The UAE is finalising a 350-kilometre national railway network plan to ease road congestion, said Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Government Sector Development. The track will link Abu Dhabi to the east coast and will eventually be connected with the proposed GCC-wide railway network.
