U.S. News and World Report have listed Landscape Architect and Urban Planner in the Top 50 Careers for 2010.
Numbers of Landscape Architects according U.S. News and World Report are expected to jump 20 percent between 2008 and 2018 and Urban Planners are expected to also to grow 19 percent from 38,400 jobs in 2008 to 45,700 jobs by 2018.
I couldn’t find in the articles where these figures came from or when the survey was undertaken. However I am guessing they came from the USA Government Bureau of Labor Statistics – Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2010-11 Edition. The BLS – Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2010-11 Edition has greater detail about the landscape architecture profession.
