
SLA is seeking a talented designer with solid experience working on international projects for a position in the Copenhagen studio.
SLA is a nature-based design studio that works globally with cities, nature, places, and people. Our work spans from award-winning climate adaptation projects in Copenhagen, the green-blue transformation of Denmark’s largest social housing estate in Aarhus, and the design of Norway’s New Government Quarter in Oslo, to urban biodiversity parks in Abu Dhabi, large-scale masterplans in Toronto, and urban plazas in Shanghai. In the position, you will be part of an interdisciplinary collective working with nature, people, and design. You will collaborate with landscape architects, biologists, anthropologists, city planners, lighting designers, architects, planting designers, urban designers, ecologists, etc.
In our work, we mix creativity and science and collaborate with professionals and disciplines to provide holistic and innovative solutions to some of today’s most significant urban problems. Key responsibilities
For this role as an experienced designer, we are looking for someone who can:
- Generate creative, responsive, and boundary-pushing design in collaboration with colleagues and clients
- Secure the design intent, the interdisciplinary approach, and quality across all stages of the project – and ensure that SLA is available for solving the client’s needs
The ideal candidate has
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Landscape Architect, Architect, or equivalent
- Professional degree in landscape architecture, architecture, or equivalent
- Experience working on both small and large scales
- Strong conceptual and design skills
- Influential and confident in client presentation, team collaboration, and project coordination
- Ability to work with a wide range of projects and with an open and flexible attitude
- Proficiency in relevant software
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written)
