The project seeks to find a effective collaboration between two principal necessities: find a new brand for the productive area which is now experiencing a deep crisis and contrast the strong ecological impact that the area has on surrounding territories. The solution is transform the area into a ZEA: Zero Emission Area.
A ZEA is both a brand, which promotes the area and seeks for investments and a new economical initiatives and a way to transform a productive area into a environmental neutral zone. The project consists into the realization of a territorial solar roof installed over the existing warehouse’s roofs and over the outdoor areas, like parking, which produce clean solar energy, tears down pollution emission, collect water and which gives a new image of the area visible to all people that are taking off or landing in the close Airport of Bologna.
The projects want to conjugate the exigency to give new life to this area from a promotional point of view and also to concretely demonstrate how a productive area could not be simply a area for pollution production but instead an area which has a positive ecological impact by creating clean energy which can be used by close residential allotments. We purposed a surface of leaves made of solar panels, an artificial nature inspired plan and an initiative of energetic land-art.
