As part of its goal to transform Edmonton’s urban form, the City is once again holding its biennial urban design awards. The awards recognize those individuals, organizations, firms and projects that have set a high standard for urban, architectural and landscape design.
The 2009 Edmonton Urban Design Awards is being held in partnership with the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada – Alberta Chapter, and in consultation with the Alberta Association – Canadian Institute of Planners, the Alberta Association of Landscape Architects, the Alberta Association of Architects and the Edmonton Design Committee.
This is the third time the City is holding these awards, with competitions held previously in 2005 and 2007.
The call for submissions was issued on July 28, 2009. The deadline for submitting entries is October 8, 2009.
