The Landscape Architecture Foundation and the PennDesign ASLA Student Chapter call on landscape architecture students worldwide to make images for a competition which addresses the general subject of landscape architecture and the future.

The competition is part of the forthcoming LAF Summit on Landscape Architecture and the Future celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Concern drafted by Ian McHarg and others in 1966. The aim of the Summit is to redraft the Declaration of Concern so that it can guide the profession for the next 50 years.

20 winning images will be projected on the big screen and share the stage with a line up of over 70 renowned practitioners and academics for the duration of the 2-day Summit June 10 –11 at the University of Pennsylvania.

Submission guidelines

Competition open to graduate and undergraduate students of landscape architecture worldwide

Image will be displayed on a 33’ wide screen. Resolution 1920 x 1080 and a 16:9 ratio

Images are to be sent to this address: [email protected] by 5 pm on Monday May 23, 2016 EST TIME.

20 selected images will be displayed on the big screen during the summit and winners will receive complimentary tickets to the 2 day Summit valued at $280

Entries will be judged by members of the LAF Board for their visual quality and their meaning with regard to the overarching themes of the Summit.
