CRCC Woshan Longfu

CRCC Woshan Longfu is surrounded by mountains and water, where the Bouyei people (an ethnic minority in southern China) live. Human settlement and nature seem to form a harmonious community. This kind of localization arises from the initial design inspiration. The design intends to find a balance between human traces and nature. The community and the landscape memory are integrated into the design.

The designers hope that the entrance is hidden and without complicated decorations. The simple water stones fit the natural calmness, and the original texture shows respect for the mountains.

The core area was the highlight of the space. The designers hope it could convey the concept of community. The design uses special design language to restore the natural environment, break the circulation of the exhibition area, and show the most authentic state of walking in nature.

The landscape wall is a five-layer multi-curved surface structure built by bamboo weaving techniques, with a steel structure in the middle and metal mesh on both sides.

The “bamboo” structure is located at the top of the site, and it is also the focal point. It is inspired by the former habitation configuration of the Bouyei people. The designers apply a resembled metal to imitate the weaving pattern to show the transparent quality of the structure. It is a landscape that blends into nature.
