Bader Development sees slowdown as opportunity, readies St. Louis Park apartment project – Finance and Commerce

Finance and Commerce reports

“We believe it’s a great time to develop because there’s not a whole lot being developed,” said Robb Bader, vice president of acquisitions and development for St. Louis Park-based Bader Development. His firm, in fact, is gearing up to break ground on a $31 million apartment development in St. Louis Park.

The St. Louis Park-based developer is planning to begin construction on The Ellipse, a project offering 132 rental units and 16,000 square feet of ground floor retail space, at the northwest corner of France Avenue and Excelsior Boulevard.

The
project team includes Minneapolis-based DJR Architecture,
Minneapolis-based Damon Farber Associates as landscape architect and
the Hopkins-based Frana Companies as general contractor. The
Minneapolis-based Ackerberg Group will lease the commercial space in
the building.
