ASPECT Studios appoints a new Studio Director for Shanghai studio

ASPECT Studios is delighted to announce the appointment of Jack Qian, who will be joining Stephen Buckle as a Studio Director of our Chinese operations in Shanghai.

Jack joins ASPECT Studios with extensive experience across urban design and landscape architecture, which compliments Stephen and the existing team incredibly well. He has a proven track record of leading internationally acclaimed practices in Australia and China during his time as a Director at McGregor Coxall and as Founder and Director of Gossamer, where he delivered a diverse range of projects across Australia and China.

Jack has over 15 years of industry experience and brings additional complementary sector knowledge to the table, further strengthening the practice’s experience across Asia. His work covers a broad range of outcomes, from concepts to built works that span large scale master planning, public realm, cultural, civic, infrastructure, commercial, mixed-use, and residential projects.

He is passionate about sustaining healthy studios with effective practices, processes, and culture to support his team, clients, and the delivery of successful legacies for the world’s habitats.

Partnering with Shanghai Studio Director Stephen Buckle will increase our ability to service our existing clients and bring new capabilities to the region. Together, the pair will lead the China operations and build upon the strong history of success that ASPECT Studios has had in the region over the last 14 years, delivering projects such as the Urban Gallery at Hyperlane Chengdu, Gemdale One City Development, Wuhan and Guangzhou West Tower.
