In line with international trends, value-based development contradictions form the urbanistic discussions in Hungary, especially concerning Budapest. Continuous expansion of urban areas and development of road systems are major challenges for the capital. Simultaneously, the increasing exhaustion and elimination of green areas embracing the city decreases their environmental potential.

Rooftop to Tabletop: Repurposing Urban Roofs for Food Production

City Farmer has posted an abstract of  Rooftop to Tabletop: Repurposing Urban Roofs for Food Production written by Benjamin Engelhard as his Thesis for Master of Landscape Architecture at University of Washington. The Thesis gives a some background to rooftop agriculture and green roofs and has some great case studies from different parts of the USA. UW Landscape student project could benefit Tomah – Tomah Journal – News

As a group of university students work on their capstone thesis program this year, the City of Tomah might also benefit from their work. The Department of Landscape Architecture at the University of Wisconsin-Madison recently requested proposals for community-focused undergraduate and graduate thesis projects.
