OKRA realizes architectonic intervention in Moscow at Sretenka Design Week

Taylor Cullity Lethlean were engaged in 2007 to assist DTEI in the preparation of a reference design for the urban and landscape design component of the Northern Expressway. Taylor Cullity Lethlean formed a team involving architects Tonkin Zulaikha Greer, lighting specialist Bluebottle, sculptor Robert Owen and illustration artist Robin Eley. All work was lead and managed by Taylor Cullity Lethlean. A highly collaborative process was undertaken with DTEI staff, particularly NEXY landscape architect Jordana Wilson. Extensive collaboration also occurred with environmental managers, structural and civil engineers. National Arboretum Canberra Australia | Taylor Cullity Lethlean with Tonkin Zulaikha Greer ©John Gollings In 2004 following devastating fires in January 2003 and inspired by Griffins’ vision for the National Capital, the ACT Government developed a proposal for an International Arboretum to be established on a 250 hectare site six kilometres from the centre of Canberra, at the western side of Lake Burley Griffin. In 2004 the ACT Government held an international design competition and Taylor Cullity Lethlean (TCL) / Tonkin Zulaikha Greer’s (TZG) entry, 100 Forests / 100 Gardens was selected as a result of a two stage selection process. Australian Institute of Landscape Architects has announced the winners of the 2010 National Awards. The top honor of Australian Medal for Landscape Architecture was awarded to James Mather Delaney Design Pty Ltd in partnership with Tonkin Zulaikha Greer Architects and City of Sydney for Paddington Reservoir Gardens, Paddington, Sydney AILA 2010 National Landscape Architecture Award of Excellence DESIGN LAND MANAGEMENT URBAN DESIGN National Landscape Awards Several other projects in each category where also awarded and can be seen at the AILA National Awards website.
