Recently, the World Architecture Festival Awards were announced with National Arboretum Canberra, Australia by Taylor Cullity Lethlean and Tonkin Zulaikha Greer winning the Landscape Award with Turenscape’s Slow Down: Liupanshui Minghu Wetland Park, China earning a Highly Commended in the same category. Rosa Barba Landscape Prize awarded at 8th International Biennial of Landscape Architecture

Rosa Barba Landscape Prize was awarded to Australian landscape architecture firm, Taylor Cullity Lethlean (TCL) and New Zealand firm, Wraight + Associates (WA) for the transformation of Auckland‟s waterfront which was completed in 2011.

The Bank Street Parklet project is a significant development contributing to the laneway links of Adelaide recognised by Jan Gehl between the River Torrens / Adelaide Oval and Central Market/ Victoria Square precinct. With over 12,000 pedestrians a day and vibrant activity in the evenings and early mornings, the project dreamed of an innovative solution with new public amenities inherent of high urban design values. The design would be robust, durable, and flexible in its application to meet a difficult sloping topographic context. As a revitalised shared street it would unify a complex array of contradicting standards and approval guidelines.

Shortlist for 2014 WAF Awards announced

The World Architecture Festival has announced the shortlist for all categories for the 2014 Awards. Landscape category always features some of the best projects from recent years. This years shortlist includes 11 projects from across the world. Firms shortlisted include Shma, turenscape, Taylor Cullity Lethlean, Cox Rayner Architects (3 Projects), Sweco Architects and more. Congratulations to all those firms shortlisted and good luck in October when the winners are announced.
