The average meal in the United States travels over 1500 miles from farm to table. What if we reduce that to 5 miles and the cost of transportation and source of fuel becomes irrelevant?
What if our water consumption was more in tune with the water that falls naturally, and our front yards qualified for agriculture water rates?

Jaarbeursplein | Utrecht Netherlands | Witteveen+Bos, OKRA and ZJA


The team Witteveen+Bos, OKRA and ZJA has won the integral design tender for the Jaarbeursplein Utrecht and the underground parking. The vision of the winning team focusses on the realisation of the perfect parking, with a comfortable, lively, and socially safe city square on top of it, in which transfer and accommodation are designed in a recognizable and inviting way.

Salwator Square | Kraków Poland | Land-Arch Partnership

This area is located in one of Krakow’s historical districts, though not directly in the city center. This pleasant, neighborhood required an eye-catching space that would reflect it’s original charm. Salwator district was based on the garden-city concept and now still is one of the more pleasant places in Kraków.

Masterplan for Bègles and Villenave d’Ornon | Bordeaux France | OMA


OMA has been commissioned to design a masterplan for a major new urban development south of Bordeaux (FR), based on the expansion of the local tram system. The project, led by OMA associate Clément Blanchet and commissioned by La Fabrique Métropolitaine de la Communauté Urbaine de Bordeaux, aims to regenerate the neighborhoods of Bègles and Villenave d’Ornon, forging new connections to Bordeaux’s central station.
