The terrace is situated on the top floor of an historic building (about XVII sec.). About 140 square meters and has a breath taking view of the Mediterranean sea. The terrace started out as a flat surface and is now promontory with a beautiful panorama.

Cyan is located in the Bukit Timah area, a prime residential enclave in Singapore. Capitalising on the site’s proximity to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, Cyan’s landscaping takes inspiration from the verdant greenery to make residents feel that they were living in an extension of the iconic garden.

When an entrepreneur who works in the marble business gave me the chance to design the garden for his brand new house up on the hills of Ortonovo, close to the Mediterranean coast, I suddenly knew I would reflect his personality in a carved landscape.
I applied all the design principles I have learned from Porcinai’s School of Florence and did my best to design a garden in perfect harmony with this territory, as if it was the missing piece of a bigger puzzle.
The whole property is 6.200 square metres, including an olive grove. I created a series of green rooms such as the swimming pool area, the outdoor kitchen, the entrance garden and the parking area which are designed and planned close to the building but get more natural and more nuanced as you move away from the house.

“Archipelgo K” is a project made for the international competition Europan 12 on the theme of the Adaptable City, considering the adaptability as the quality of a space that can be easily modified in harmony with the changes to use. The location chosen is the town of Kristinehamn, facing the Lake Vänern – in a natural location of high environmental value – that is placed in between the most famous touristic cities in Sweden (Stockholm, Malmo, Goteborg).

Industrial-sized dumpsters, mini skips, a shipping container and exotic aquatic weeds are the four key elements in the exhibition garden being designed by Christchurch-based international designer Craig Pocock for this year’s Ellerslie International Flower Show.
“As landscape architects, we should be aiming to create landscapes with longevity that will survive changing demographics, community growth and fashion trends. Our landscapes need to be timeless designs that serve a community well for decades to make the most of the embodied energy costs that comes with creating and maintaining a landscape, especially our urban spaces”.
