The Suneden Sensory Playspace is demonstrative of what can be achieved on a modest budget, when landscape architects re-imagine standard building material into amazing new play opportunities. Suneden Sensory Playspace is the result of the imagination and innovation WAX Design and the local community. Using a tiny budget and community support, WAX Design has created an amazing 200m2 playspace that excites, simulates and challenges the various abilities of the students at the school.
The unique and entertaining designs use a host of standard building and landscape material to create a series of outdoor rooms that incorporate explorative and sensory activities that help to improve student’s body awareness, problem solving, cognition, creativity, enhance their overall learning abilities and above all increase their happiness.

The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire is a frequented destination for many families. Nearby the Children’s Museum is Dover’s city-owned Henry Law Park. The Museum and the City wanted to work together to create a playground that could serve as a destination for families. The opportunity for the park to enhance the current development of a city that provided a thriving family community in Dover was apparent to the city.

A team comprising We Made That and Free Play have been chosen as the winner of the Three Mills Green Play-space competition, which sought proposals for designs for a new play-space located near the Olympic Park in the borough of Newham, East London.
We Made That and Free Play were selected from a shortlist of four teams, following an open call for expressions of interest, which yielded over 60 entries from practices and design teams from around the world. The other shortlisted teams were erect architecture, Kinnear Landscape Architects, and Studio Weave with Wayward Plants.
