Shortlist announced for Barangaroo Central Master Planning Team


Back in August we put the notice out for the International Search for Barangaroo Central Master Planning Team. After a review of all submissions the Authority’s Recommendation Panel has shortlisted 5 teams to deliver presentations and participate in interviews, prior to the final selection being made in December 2012.

Tbilisi Zoo | Tbilisi Georgia | HASSELL

The London Studio of HASSELL, working with Arup, has been appointed by Tbilisi City Hall to carry out the concept design of the new Tbilisi Zoo on the outskirts of the Georgian capital city. The project will see the existing city centre zoo replaced by a zoological and recreation complex adjacent to the inland lake known as Tbilisi Sea.

2012 London Olympics | Legacy
With the London 2012 Olympic over and the Paralympic Games soon to begin, but it won’t be long the all the teams and fans will be at home and the Olympics Park will be empty. The question always comes up what now for the venues, parks and infrastructure that was built for the Olympics? Well the legacy planning has been in the works with the Mayor setting up the London Legacy Development Corporation that will be “setting and maintaining standards for quality of design, construction and urban planning, to ensure a sustainable and enduring legacy for the Park”.

WLA #04 Quarterly Landscape Architecture Magazine

Launching the #04 edition of WLA Quarterly Landscape Architecture Magazine which includes  projects from OLIN, Sasaki Associates, ACT, BDP, HASSELL, LOLA, Deltavormgroep and Piet Oudolf, Design Workshop and Sharp & Diamond Landscape Architecture with Cornelia Hahn Oberlander. The projects range from small scale designs to strategic master plan for a New Seven Wonders of the World.
