In November, we celebrated 5 years of publishing landscape architecture projects, news, competitions, including The National Creative Cluster by Sasaki Associates in Beijing. We also featured ASPECT Studios upgrades for Sydney’s Chinatown and also 15 Knots at Grand-Métis Canada by ATLAS and Forbes Lipschitz. Recently, Robert Hewitt, ASLA, is a Professor of Landscape Architecture at Clemson University who has recently co-authored “Finding Multi-Centers: Using crowd-sourcing technologies to define communities of landscape architecture” (1) and World Landscape Architecture has been included in the study that shows landscape architects, architects, planners “share degrees of common topical interests related to competitions, projects, and research topics.” Continue reading Landscape Architects connecting through social media
SLANT AWARDS SPRING 2012 Competition and this competition is open to all, with the challenge being to design a concept plan for a city sector which is undergoing urban renewal. As in our previous competitions we want participants to have as free a hand as possible when designing this project; therefore we are keeping the brief and the entry requirements to a minimum. The city in question is not a real city, it has been designed solely for this competition, and its location is not being specified. |
