The architects shortlisted in the prestigious King’s Cross Square contest remain unbriefed about the project – six months after being selected
Despite being named as finalists for the 7,000m2 project outside the central London station in January, the six firms have yet to receive any further details of the scheme.

Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) has launched a competition using Youtube to promote landscape architecture.
The creative competition is open anyone living in Canada who is over 18 years old.
A video must be less than 3 minutes and be submitted for entry by 31st July 2009.

“Amsterdam city planning councilman Maarten van Poelgeest announced the winner of the adaptive reuse design competition for the two former sewage treatment silos in Amsterdam’s Zeeburg district: the Annie MG Schmidt House.

“The competition entry for Almere Hout Noord West 8 prepared for housing corporation Ymere was unanimously chosen by the municipal assembly of Almere as the winning design.
Alderman Adri Duivesteijn of Almere stated: “We are convinced by the quality of the plans and like the idea that the corporation – especially now as we are experiencing a economical crisis – will be co-initiator of Almere Hout Noord, where we will realize 4.200 dwellings and 2.500 workplaces”.”
