Kerb Journal of Landscape Architecture has put out the call for papers for its 21st edition. KERB is a student-run annual publication featuring works from distinguished practitioners and students alike and is produced and edited by students of the Department of Landscape Architecture at RMIT University. Kerb aims to highlight people and projects that are strengthening design discourse in a multi-disciplinary way.
Kerb 21 topic is ‘Peripheral Processes: Adapted Modes of Practice’ and will address the current issues unfolding within design discourse. We seek submissions documenting design projects and processes in the form of research, essays, sketches and diagrams, collage, prose, photography, film, digital animations or film, grassroots projects, folk and contemporary art and everything in between. The European Council of Landscape Architecture Schools (ECLAS) will hold its annual Conference in Hamburg from 22 to 25 September 2013. ECLAS has put out the call for papers for the 5 topics – NATURE HAPPENED YESTERDAY, WHO OWNS THE LANDSCAPE?, BEST PRACTICE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE, LANDSCAPE AND STRUCTURES and EVENTS AND CONVERSION. The conference will be hosted by the Hafen City University Hamburg and is curated and coordinated by the Department of Landscape Architecture, Prof. Christiane Sörensen.

Call for Nominations for 2011 IFLA Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe Award
This award is the highest honour that the International Federation of Landscape Architects can bestow upon a landscape architect. The Award recognises a living landscape architect whose lifetime achievements and contributions have had a unique and lasting impact on the welfare of society and the environment and on the promotion of the profession of landscape architecture. The award is bestowed annually on an academic, public or private practitioner whose work and achievements are respected internationally.
Winners include Peter Walker and Prof. Bernard Lassus.
Nominations should be submitted by 10 November 2010.

A call for paper abstracts has been issued for papers that address the congress theme and topics.
