MNLA joins WLA as a Partner

Damrosch Park Restoration | New York, NY, USA | MNLA

World Landscape Architecture is very happy to announce that Mathews Nielsen Landscape Architects (MNLA) has joined WLA as a Partner. We welcome their continued support through the years and welcome their decision to become a Partner.  WLA is able to publish projects, news, and information from around the world through the generosity of its Sponsors, Partners and Supporters.

MNLA believes that landscape architecture is more than a profession – it is an optimistic way of seeing the world and envisioning its possibilities to be both beautiful and responsible.  They practice landscape architecture as a medium capable of reinvigorating, healing, and mediating places.  Their work embraces catalytic and performative landscapes that deepen cultural expression through memory and hope. The recipient of nearly 100 awards in its 25 years of practice, MNLA’s greatest reward is work that changes lives and strengthens and empowers communities.

With a staff of 30 landscape architects and designers means that MNLA is large enough to command a wide range of design creativity and experience, yet small enough to ensure each project benefits from this expertise and mentorship. MNLA marry accountability with accessibility, making it easier for clients to get attention and information. The firm principal that serves each project is the gateway to a team of MNLA collaborators who engage in questioning ideas and challenging conventional practice in favor of exceptional vision that results in better designs. Their teams also extend beyond our studio to the leading architects with whom they collaborate and the engineering and environmental experts with whom they partner. MNLA is a Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) certified by New York City, New York State, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, and the City of Philadelphia.

WLA is proud to welcome MNLA as a Partner and thanks them for their years of support.
