Design Competition for Public Art in Malta’s Industrial Zones

Call for Artists to participate in a Public Art Initiative to be implemented in Industrial Zones between 2012 and 2018. The 14 industrial zones where the public art initiatives will be undertaken are Bulebel, Kirkop, Attard, Hal Far, Kordin, Luqa, Marsa, Mosta Technopark, Mriehel, San Gwann, SAP, Ta Dbiegi, Ta Qali, and Xewkija. Site visits may also be held on demand for the purpose of ensuring that interested parties are clear on the actual location indicated.

As part of a broad strategy to improve the environment within industrial zones, Malta Enterprise (ME) and Malta Industrial Parks Ltd (MIP) are issuing a Call for Artists to participate in a competition that will provide them the opportunity to showcase their work in various public locations.  In this respect space has been allocated for artistic expression and it will be up to the artist or artistic teams to exercise their creative abilities and utilise the space for maximum visual impact.

This Call, which is aimed at both established and emerging artists, is intended to complement current and future embellishment efforts, and its execution is intended to be phased over a number of years between 2012 and 2018.
