Remaking places – UK

A new national conference, organised by RUDI,The Resource for Urban Design Information, will consider how areas of our towns, cities and suburbs are unsuitable for modern styles of life and are in need of re-engineering and re-designing to cater for current needs and a sustainable future.

Leading proponents of local level design and place sensitive planning will consider new techniques of planning, urban design and development that have begun to emerge to re-engineer and remodel the built environment and road/transport infrastructure of the 20th century.
